Your Wellness Innovation Could Win You $5,000
You hear these recommendations every direction you turn.
And while these are the simple ingredients for a happy, healthy life and might sound easy enough in theory, it is often a challenge to do them.
So the question is…
How do you change behavior to create a healthier life?
Is it a new diet?
A new tracking device?
A new mindset?
Will any of these things really change behavior if you are short on time and exhausted by the end of the day?
The work that Volkswagen is doing with The Fun Theory has inspired us here at Premera. The campaign explores whether you can change behavior simply by making things fun. Check out this video filmed in a Swedish train station from VW’s brilliant experiment, where they turned train station stairs into piano keys. The result?
Check out the video and you’ll see that nearly everyone opts for the piano stairs and bypasses the adjacent escalator.
At Premera we are all about helping our members live a healthier life. We want to give them the right tools that will help them eat better, shop smarter and move more. In order to help us develop new innovative tools for our members we want to hear from you. Do you have an innovative idea that will ignite change for the better? If so, we are offering a $5,000 reward for the best idea!
Design a new strategy and way of motivating household decision makers to change their family’s health behaviors so they start making healthier food and lifestyle choices that may improve the health of the whole family.
How to Enter:
Premera is working with Innocentive, a crowdsourcing platform, to administer this challenge.
1. Go to Innocentive’s site and set up a “Solver” account
2. Once you have an account created you are free to enter Premera’s Innovate to Motivate Challenge
The Innovate to Motivate Challenge runs from Aug. 4, 2014 to Sept. 8, 2014.
Once all of the innovative ideas have been submitted, a winner will be selected in mid-October and will be awarded $5,000.
