Design Your Own Drone, Robot or Machine for Good Competition

Design Your Own Drone, Robot or Machine for Good CompetitionCALL FOR ENTRIES

We are seeking design ideas that are socially, ecologically and technologically relevant to humanitarian causes.   The competition will be held April 23 at the Anti-Summitbeta at the Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Awards.

50K in Prize Funding from Draem Ventures for Humanitarian Business and Design Ideas

RELEVENTS and the Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Awards have partnered with Draem Ventures to make sure we don’t just talk about robots and drones and machines for good – we bring new early stage ideas to life with committed venture impact funding,  Together we’re launching a “Design Your Own Drone, Machine or Robot for Good Competition” at the upcoming pilot Anti-Summitbeta..

Draem Ventures Founder Ari Eisenstat Funds Ideas

We are committing 50,000 dollars in prize money to empower entrepreneurialism for social good.  10 teams will be awarded $5,000 each for their IDEAS. That’s right, ideas.  Think of us as a pre-seed investor.  We’re looking for ideas, concepts or prototypes — for humanitarian uses of Drones, Machines and Robots that could solve real crises in novel ways from inventors from all walks of life.  This is a burgeoning field and we want to focus on designs that will make a positive difference in the world.

The 10 winning teams will be able to submit and pitch concepts, business plans or prototypes in 3 minute lightening rounds — which Eisenstat envisions being more like a Dolphin Tank than a Shark Tank.  That will be followed by a “gallery walk” where all submissions can be viewed and the teams can answer questions.  One winning team will be invited to Silicon Valley to host a demo day and launch party at the BHuman Social Innovation Center.

  • This competition is OPEN to everyone.
  • We have a great panel of experts who will serve as judges.  They include:
    • Michael Auerbach, Albright Stonebridge Group
    • Kunal Sood, Halo Drop
    • Clay Weidemann, Smart Design

On April 23-24, 300 people will gather in New York to shape the future of peer-to-peer exchange and drive real Business Activism at the Anti-Summit beta at the Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Awards.
